Kamakura Area

Tsurugaoka Hachimangu
The most important shrine in the city of Kamakura. It was the spiritual center of the people as the home of Hachiman kami, guardian deity of Kamakura and the guardian deity of the samurai.
Kotoku-in
The statue is commonly known as Kamakura Daibutsu (Great Buddha of Kamakura). It is believed to have been built by the Kamakura Shogunate as a symbol of prosperity for the new capital.
Komachi-dori Street
